3. Schedule:

The tournament officially begins on December 1, 2023. Each side has a time limit of 30 days/move and 90 days/game. Each player receives an additional 12 hours for each move. The player who exceeds the time limit loses the game.

4. System:

The tournament adopts a double round-robin system, with each player playing two games against every other player, in which each player plays as Black in one game. The total number of games is 90, with each player playing 18 games. All 90 games start simultaneously and are publicly visible, allowing enthusiasts to watch them.

5. Prize Money:

The prize money is sponsored by Chen Wei personally. The champion receives 500 euros, the runner-up receives 300 euros, the 3rd place receives 200 euros, the 4th place receives 150 euros, the 5th place receives 150 euros, and all other players each receive 100 euros.

6. Trial rule used in the tournament:

1. The tournament adopts the RIF rule that allow the first move to be placed elsewhere on the board.

2. The location of the first move for Black is determined by both players. The first player proposes a number from 1 to 5, representing the x-coordinate of the first move, corresponding to (1-H, 2-I, 3-J, 4-K, 5-L). The second player proposes a number from 1 to 5, representing the y-coordinate of the first move, corresponding to (1-8, 2-9, 3-10, 4-11, 5-12). Neither player knows the other player's proposed number before making their own proposal.

3. The subsequent moves follow the requirements of the RIF rules. The first three moves are determined by Black, and it must be one of the 26 possible opening patterns, which can be rotated or flipped in any direction. After the opening, White has the right to choose to swap or make their own 4th move. For Black's 5th move, they must play two alternative moves and allow White to choose one. Black has "double-three", "double-four" and "overline" forbidden moves.

4. In order to better test the trial rule, there are two additional requirements in this tournament. Firstly, each player must ensure that they have at least one game with choices 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 in their 9 games as Black, and the remaining 4 games can have any choice of numbers. Similarly, as White, each player must ensure that they have at least one game with choices 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, and the remaining 4 games can have any choice of numbers. Secondly, if both players choose 1 in a game, they must choose new numbers, and neither player can choose 1 again.

5. To save time and allow enthusiasts to see the games earlier, each player must submit their choices of the first move positions 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 for all games within the first 5 days of the tournament and determine the positions of the first moves as soon as possible.
